Privacy Policy

This explains what Flat Library collects when you use flatlibrary.com or the Flat Library plugin for Adobe Illustrator. We only keep what we need to sell you the plugin and let you use it. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you sign in or buy. We use it to send your sign-in codes and your download, and to check your licence.
• Your purchase details: your plan, number of seats, the amount paid, and Stripe's references for the payment. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card number.
• Studio members' email addresses, when a Studio owner adds someone to a seat.
• Your devices: a random ID made for each computer, whether it's a Mac or Windows computer, and when it was added and last used. This is how the two-device limit works.
• Messages you send us when you email for help.
• Basic technical information. The services we use keep standard logs, which can include your IP address, your browser, and the pages or features you used.

Your designs

The plugin runs on your computer, and the garments you design stay there. We don't receive them. The plugin only contacts us to sign you in and check your licence.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that run parts of Flat Library for us, and only for that purpose. Some of them may process it in the United States.

• Stripe takes payments.
• Supabase runs sign-in, licences and the download.
• Resend sends our emails.
• Vercel hosts the website.
• Google provides the website's fonts and our support inbox.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How we protect it

Your information travels over encrypted connections, including when it's shared with the companies above. There are no passwords to steal, because you sign in with a code sent to your email. Your card details go straight to Stripe. Each person can only see their own account, and a Studio owner can also see their members. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us if you notice a problem.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The website keeps you signed in using your browser's local storage, and the plugin keeps your sign-in and device ID on your computer. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout page.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, licence and purchase records for as long as you have a licence, and after that as long as we need them for tax, accounting or legal reasons.

Your choices

Email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. Deleting your account means you can no longer sign in to the plugin. Depending on where you live, the law may give you other rights too.

Children

Flat Library isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
